Self reflection #2, Part 1
A reflection on “Technologies to Watch in NMC Horizon Report: The K12 Edition” recommends that a project should be carefully selected so that it allows us to select materials that contain relevant information to teach, learn and create expressions in a collaborative environment. This helps teachers to enrich their works across geographic borders, and cultural issues. Also, these boundaries can be explored because they are many opportunities where one can get online support to student’s works and teamwork’s through the world.
Online communication tools are social video conferences that allow instant interaction among students, teachers, and family at the same time by instant messaging and online chats. Application cost is almost nothing. However, this type of technology provides students and teachers the opportunity to implement the constructed use of communications tools in the classroom. They also have the ability to use these tools to have video conferences with students and teachers from others parts of the world.
In addition to this, Mobiles are being evolved rapidly in recent years among students in developed countries. These mobiles include Multi-touch interfaces, with GPS capacities and the ability to run a Varity of applications simultaneously. They can also be easily adapted to social networking, learning and productivity. As example of mobile devices is the I-phone that can be adapted to work as a portable computers.
Most of these mobiles can be used to obtain information from lager scale data farms that are large groups of network servers. The information stored may go up and down based on the demands of consumers.
However, the public should be aware that It is extremely difficult to organize your personal interest and learning objectives on the Web because it is not easy to track your information and the information of your friends and colleagues.
Part 2
The use of video conferences as part of math classes can be a great benefit to students everywhere. Students from many parts of the world can be part of these educational classes, where they can get solutions in problems that are difficult to solve. Around the world people as teachers, students, and professionals can share their ideas simultaneity. Another beneficial network service that can use in the class room is the I-phone that can be connected to the Web to share, respond, and ask questions.
Part 3
If I continue to apply technology in the classroom, I will be in a better position to compete for what I think is best for my school and my students in the 21st Century.
